Alicia is the Senior Associate in the Commercial Litigation Department of OAK Law.
- Dispute resolution;
- Debt recoveries;
- Legal advice;
- Instituting/defending actions or applications in the Magistrates Courts and High Courts;
- Negotiating settlements; and
- Legal drafting of litigious and non-litigious documents.
Alicia obtained her LLB (Bachelor of Laws) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2017 where she was also awarded Dean’s Commendation during her first year.
Alicia commenced her articles of clerkship in 2018 at Eversheds Sutherland Attorneys in Durban. After completing her articles of clerkship and being admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2020 she was promoted to Associate where she gained experience in the Commercial, Litigation and Conveyancing Departments of Eversheds Sutherland.
In January 2023 she was offered a position as in house legal advisor for a property holding company. As legal advisor she advised and assisted with various litigation matters, negotiating, drafting and vetting of various commercial agreements and advising on general corporate commercial and property related matters.
Alicia subsequently relocated to Pretoria and joined OAK Law in May 2023 where she focuses her skills on various commercial litigation matters in the both the Magistrates Courts and High Courts, dispute resolutions, debt recoveries, developing creative case strategies and drafting litigious and non-litigious legal documents.
Alicia enjoys hiking, golfing and spending time with family and friends.
