Experience
After completing his studies in 2005, Owen accepted articles of clerkship with a well-known law firm based in Pretoria. After completing his articles and being admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa, Owen joined a niche corporate and commercial law firm during 2007, where he remained until August 2013. During this period Owen rapidly ascended through the ranks, being promoted to associate during 2008 and making partner in 2010. Owen was however born with an innate desire to leave a “personalised” legacy, which desire ultimately led him to found OAK Law on 1 September 2013.
Since 2005, Owen has represented various clients (including multinational companies listed on the FTSE 100), in negotiating and structuring many transactional, structural and other corporate and commercial arrangements across the whole of Africa.
