Xander is an associate attorney in OAK Law’s corporate and commercial law department.
This includes:
- Drafting various commercial agreements and corporate documents;
- Corporate restructuring;
- Mergers and acquisitions;
- Researching and preparing opinions on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters; and
- Offering advice to clients on tax-related matters.

Qualifications
Xander obtained his BCom Law degree (majoring in Economics and Business Management) and LLB (Bachelor of Laws) degree from the University of Pretoria in 2021 and 2023, respectively. He thereafter completed Law School at the University of Pretoria in 2024. Xander is currently pursuing an HDip in Tax Law at the University of Johannesburg.
Experience
Xander completed his practical vocational training at a “full service commercial law firm” in Pretoria, where he was exposed to a range of legal work, including litigation, ranging from contractual disputes to administrative and delictual matters, as well as some commercial and corporate transactions. Xander was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2025. After his admission as an attorney, Xander primarily focused on corporate and commercial disputes and occasionally worked on matters involving business restructuring and insolvency. Xander has since joined the corporate and commercial law department at OAK Law as an associate.
Interests
Outside of work, Xander is drawn to activities that blend strategy, creativity, and discipline. He enjoys chess for its emphasis on critical thinking and pattern recognition. With a background in web development and some coding, he maintains a strong interest in the intersection of design and functionality. On the more physically active side, he enjoys tennis as a way to stay active, focused, and energized.
