Qualifications
Pieter obtained a BCom Law degree in 2009 and LLB degree in 2011 at the University of Pretoria. He has also completed advanced courses in Corporate Governance, Construction Law and Business Rescue.
Experience
Pieter is an experienced commercial litigation attorney. He has litigate in a variety of forums including the High Court, Magistrate Court, Labour Court and Supreme Court of Appeal. He also has extensive experience in arbitration proceedings and industry specific dispute resolution forums, including proceedings instituted against Government Departments.
His litigation experience also extends to insolvency law including liquidations, sequestrations, insolvency enquiries and business rescue, whilst also advising on and drafting various corporate and commercial agreements.
Prior to joining Oak Law he practiced at a well-known law firm based in Pretoria where he acted on behalf of various local and multinational companies.
Interests
Pieter enjoys outdoor activities such as camping or hunting in the company of family and friends.
